Nothing in mind, just a few pieces of paper and pencil on her hands. She sat down on the grass just beneath the shade of the Cypress tree.
She's thinking how to start her story... She wanted something that will make it to history. Macy is a writer, she loves writing stories that are all made by her powerful imagination. She can write anything under the sun. Her favorite topic is about love to last forever. This time she wanted to make it something different. In just about a few minutes the tip of her pen started to ink the first page...
This is her story...
Dave married Victoria on Christmas day. They will have their first child come February. Dave married her because of their child. In their generation, it is a common trend that once a man impregnated a woman, he is obliged to marry.
Inside the office...
I don't love her!
Then why did you had sex with her in the first place?
You know i didn't mean it and it happened only once!
I know but there's nothing we can do now.
It was Dave and Ronnie's conversation in the office. Ronnie knew the woman his best mate truly love...
Mina is a girl of every man's dream. She fell in love with Dave eversince they were introduced by a colleague but since Dave never confessed his true feelings for her, Mina decided to move to another town just to forget about him.
It's a baby boy! The doctor told Dave. Dave touches his baby. The feelings he had that time was not as excited as the other fathers inside the nursery room.
He sat outside the operating room. He was waiting for Victoria to be moved to the private room. The door suddenly opened, Dave looked to see if it was Victoria. It wasn't her, he saw a little boy around 3yrs old, skinny and has fair complexion.
Dave went to the nurses station to ask if he's in the right place. Delivery room is located at the 4th floor sir, you just came from the operating room. Dave went directly to the delivery and found Victoria.
Dave wasn't happy in his married life. He tried to pretend his ok but he's not. Sometimes he wanted to just leave his family but of course he will not do it for James.
James graduated as the Class Valedictorian in Elementary. He got his skills and intelligence from his father. On his speech he thanked his Mom and Dad, his teachers, friends and he made a special thank you message to his best friend Michael.
Michael and James were best friends since they were in 1st grade. Eversince they have known each other they can't be seperated. They eat their meals together, do their assignments together and even sharing their secret crushes. James continued his speech and said... Mike didn't make it today to attend our graduation because he is in the hospital. For those who dont know, for so many years now Michael is fighting a battle againts Leukemia... My best friend is also smart and intelligent boy like me but because he needs to be absent all the time he was disqualified for the validectorian award. I adore and admire him because despite of his condition he is a fighter. Today, as i receive my Valedictorian Award, with gratitude, pride and honor I dedicate this for you Mike! You are truly an inspiration to all of us! I hope you to recover the soonest so we will start our 1st year highschool together as promised...
A lot of their classmates cried because they knew about Mike's story. They appreciate James for dedicating the award to his best mate. The Class Valedictorian speech ended with a standing ovation!
After a few days of their graduation, James learned that Mike passed away...
Noooooooooooo! James cried inside his room. Son, what happened? He can't say a word. He hugged his mother and whispered.... mom...... my best mate just died today. His mom cried too because she can attest their friendship at school. Back in their 1st to 3rd grade Victoria remembered that she always see the 2 boys together. She knew that Mike is sick because it shows physically. Whenever James played games with their classmates, Mike just watched them. Until one day they promised to be best of friends and James made a promise that he will not play games anymore without Mike. Since Mike can't play any games they just decided to study inside the library after eating their lunch. It became a practice for the 2 boys that honed their knowledge making them top in class. They were known to be best friends with brains by their classmates.
The funeral of Mike will be held in his hometown. James asked his father Dave if he can drive him to the funeral of his best mate to pay his last respect. Dave agreed, they decided to go there the next day.
I will not come with you tomorrow son, since noone will be left home. Please say condolence to her mom and grandma for me...
Yes mom, James replied.
Next morning, James was prepared and waiting for his dad outside their house. He was crying... He was holding the notebook where they created and written few stories shared by their thoughts. You told me Mike to keep this because i have a longer life so that i can have it publish someday once i get a job and earn money so i can pay for its printed copies. Now, i will bring this to you because i want you to carry this together with my medals and plaques of honors because all these should be yours and not mine. I miss u my best mate, i will be there in a few...
It was 5 long hours drive going to the hometown of Mike. James fell asleep in the car, he did not get enough sleep last night because of the bad news.
Son, wake up we're here in Mike's funeral.
James opened his eyes and saw a lot of people outside. A big picture of Mike was posted outside the funeral place. When they entered the place James was being greeted by Mike's grandmother who used to accompany Mike in school. She asked them to take their seat since they will not open the casket for viewing until....??? A group of people approached the old lady getting her attention. Dad, maybe she's busy let's just wait there and seat until they open Mike's casket. I was thinking where the parents of Mike dad?!? The first and last time i saw his mom was when we were in 1st grade. Mommy and Mike's mom used to talk while they were waiting for us at the parent's lobby. After that it was already the grandma of Mike who always accompanied him and I never saw her mom again...
A loud cry caught their attention. That's Mike's mom daddy! They opened the casket as soon as she arrived. The lady not just opened the casket cover to view her son but she opened it including the glass and hugged his son's lifeless body.
James cried, he felt the feeling of Mike's mom. A lost of someone close to your heart was never easy... Dad look at Mike's mom.... She really loves her son so much, she can't accept that her son is gone... But how come she's not with him all these years?
After a few minutes being with his son, she turned her back to the visitors and nodded her head to create a Welcome gesture to everyone.
She went up the stage and started talking...
Dave rubbed his eyes several times... was it because he felt sad for his son's best friend lost? Or was it for other reasons?
Macy felt the heat of the sun touches her skin. She wanted to finish writing the story, she was about to turn the second page when her cellphone rang. It was a call from her classmate. She supposed to have a meeting with the group today to discuss their project. She is afraid to loose the flow of the story in her mind.
I'm sorry i can't make it, please let me know the topics that will be assigned to me and i will finish it before our class next week.
